About Kirklees Conservative Group
The Group currently consists of 22 elected Councillors from throughout the area. The rest of the Council is made up of 22 Labour, 19 Liberal Democrats, 4 Green, 1 BNP, and 1 Independent.
Conservative Councillors, who come from all walks of life and all parts of the Borough, now control the Council's Cabinet, and will endeavour to implement policies to ensure the Council is more efficiently run for the benefit of local residents who have, for too long, paid sky high Council Taxes for poor quality services provided by previous Liberal Democrat and Labour administrations.
Ulitmately the Conservatives aims are to build a better society and a better quality of life for all residents of the borough, irrespective of whether they live in wards with elected Conservative Members. More details of our Councillors, and how to contact them, can be found in the People section.
